Read trough!!! - Looks and feels good but it seams that it doesn’t work. But it actually does work great. What you need to do is disassemble the pot(don’t need to unscrew any of the tiny screws) just pop out the plastic pease on the bottom of the pot( the one with the metal pease and three screws on it) once you remove it by pushing through with a pen or something thin bit flat(not sharp) and than remove a smaller pease of plastic(round pease smaller than the pease you just removed) that snaps on to the larger circle pease. When you remove that(use a thin pease of metal to pop it out, butter knife or something similar) you will see a silicone round pease that needs to be removed. It actually seams that it should’ve been removed by the manufacturer when assembling the pot but it wasn’t. Once you remove the small pease of silicon circle snap the two plastic leases together and put back on the bottom of the pot. At that point it will be fully functional.So far I had not been able to get a successful cup of coffee. There are no instructions except to use coarse ground coffee. Do you tamp it down? No instructions! The coffee I used must have been too fine but it’s the grind I use for pour over in my Melittas. The coffee backed up into the Illy and none came through this capsule. Next I tried a pre ground Williams Sonoma coffee and it tasted very watered down. I’ve given up for today. Good luck if you purchase this and let me know how you did it if you are successful.Me gustolooks good. looks well built. but it doesnt work at all. even the replacement amazon sent didnt work. the holes in the capsule are either too small??? or blocked on the other side. no water can exit the capsule. useless.Item looks good but is not working as advertised. Holes too small. Ordered a second one same issue. Going back to pods -:(Works a few times then it plugs up even after cleaning.This capsule is the best!I have tried all of the reusable capsules types and ONLY this type of capsule works correctly and closest technically to the original one.This capsule will not work if you chose wrong ground type. It should be espresso ground. Its not coarse, not medium or fine, it is between medium and fine. Or just simply buy coffee beans in good coffee house like Blue bottle or Inteligensia and ask them to grind it for espresso.Capsule can fit and must fit 6 gr of coffee for the best taste. Put coffee inside, fill it to the top of capsule, then press it with temper, and then fill it to the top again as much as possible and press again. After the pressed coffee is filled to the top of capsule or almost to the top, close the capsule and do the espresso in your Illy machine.
