No hot air corn popper is perfect. But we've used this brand for years. It's functional and it lasts.First, yes it will allow some unpopped seeds to jump out until the popped kernels keep them all in. We minimize this by propping it back with a knife handle until it gets going.Second, clearing out the popped kernels with the knife blade when they get jammed helps it finish popping.Third, you need gloves or pot holders to turn it upside down to empty it at the end.Fourth, it will overheat if you put in too much popcorn or do too many batches without a break but resets itself in ten to fifteen minutes and is ready for another batch.Hard to beat for economical whole grain goodness along with your favorite (spicy) flavored salt.
