Menengiç coffee, which takes its name from its basic plant, is produced from the Menengiç tree, which comes from the gum tree family. Central Anatolia in Turkey, these trees being grown in the Southeastern Anatolia and Mediterranean regions, known as a kind of pistachio trees. Menengiç, which blooms in red and turns a color between blue and purple as it matures, is collected after ripening, dried and its coffee is obtained. This plant, which is roasted and turned into a coffee consistency, is then drawn into the powder form of Turkish coffee.
