I have been making noodles for years and thought that a motorized machine was the way to go.I was tired of cranking and my back would bother me after a while.The Roma Express Electric Pasta Machine worked on the first smooth rollers to get the pasta thin enough for noodle cutting,but when I went to cut the noodles, the dough would go through the noodle cutting rollers but the dough was not cut into noodles.The dough had marks in it where it should have been cut but was not cut.I was able to pull the dough apart and get noodles but this left a lot of noodles torn.I thought that maybe the dough was to wet,so I waited until the dough the dough was dryer.The dryer dough would not go through the noodle cutting rollers,it felt like it had no gripping action to catch the rollers.I am sure that there is a middle ground for noodle dry to moist.I was so looking forward to not having to crank my noodle machine,that's the way NaNa did it, and she never complained.Sometime the old ways are better.It's good and easy to use but not exactly what I was looking for but over all it's pretty goodThe item was supposed to be new and never used. It arrived with residue all over the roller with pieces of some sort of dough. It WAS used and not new!! Like it, but wish the rolled product exited the front of the machine instead of the back. Does the job though.That may sound weird but this machine really is very handsome indeed. It's impressive in weight and size. You'll have a kitchen grade pasta maker with this machine. Everything we've made so far was fun and easy. Clean up's a breeze. And it's a beautiful bright red.Worst thing is that you can only run the motor for 15 minutes or it will over heat (per instructions)The motor is a little week. When it started overheating we stopped using it to give it time to cool down. would only use it for about 15 minutes at a timeI like this machine it’s good but sound little loud then usualGave to oldest sister for Christmas along with cookbook and noodle drying rack. I have spoken with her 3 times since then on phone and she has never mentioned it. I know she received it as I had taken the wrapped gifts to her house ( 5 min from me ) a week before Christmas. Oh well, will update if I ever hear anything. Product was extremely heavy.I use this for POLYMER CLAY! It’s amazing! It’s been almost 3 months and it’s as strong as a Lucy clay machine! It conditions any clay! Best investment ever!Just plugged it in for the first time and cut about 6 pieces of dough and machine quit working.The motor runs but the blades don't. After cleaning the dough off the machine a piece of steelcame out of the blades. Will be sending this machine back.I really like my pasta machine, however, I was going to call about my concern. I am so pleased that you contacted me. I works beautifully except that the fettucini roller does not cut the pasta and it takes a long time to separate each fettucini noodle. The spagettini roller is excellent - it separates each noodle. I have tried playing with the fettucini rollers but nothing works - am I doing anything wrong - can someone help me please.I am very impressed with the quick delivery. At the beginning it was all normal and then, after working half of my dough (I separated the dough in small part), the motors noise changed. I have cleaned the machine and it the noise is still there.... Also, the spaghetti cutter doesn't work. Not happy with my purchase.
