I drink cold lattes almost exclusively, and even though I have been using a manual device similar to a French press to make my espresso for many years, I decided to try this little machine using capsules again (I had an espresso machine a number of years ago). Wow! I made the best lattes ever! The coffee certainly had very much to do with that, but this little machine extracted it perfectly. I also tried it using my own coffee. While it wasn't as strong as using the capsules (I think I have to practice a bit using my own coffee), it still worked well and gave me good espresso, plus it saves on money if you don't want to buy the capsules. If you want the machine to heat the water, battery life is very limited. So I started heating the water first, and the battery is still going strong after several uses of two capsules each time. I enjoy making my lattes this way again, so I decided to invest in an espresso machine for everyday use, keeping this portable, battery-operated machine for travel. I have yet to use it when traveling, but I'm looking forward to having my delicious lattes when I am away from home. A big thumbs up for this little device!
