In the intro, we find Lefkoe has not only done Est - but been a trainer for the organization in NYC - OY VEY - that was ALLLL I had to hear! After going thru THE FORUM - what est dilapidated into during the 1990s - I was ready to throw the book down. I thought - just because my experience with THE FORUM was an absolute TRAIN WRECK - it's not this guy's fault. I kept reading. By page 5 of this book I had such a huge breakthrough. I put the book down and thought about it for a month. One paragraph - just about said it all. And I think that if you give this book a good, hard, thoughtful read - there is a TON to take away. Lefkoe is excruciatingly understated. He's subtle. You need to re-read and let it ferment. Great stuff in here, I highly recommend adding this to your tool kit.Now, as an aside, I think if Werner had left the EST business to Marty before he fled the country (more on Werner Erhard in the movie TRANSFORMATION) EST and subsequently, THE FORUM - Landmark Education - would have been a much more efficient, effective and USEFUL organization. Unfortunately my experience was a watered down, really YUCKY and yes STUPID - oh so dumb - version of a couple of the tenets of the real est program from the 70s. And they were presented with such utter stupidity. OH THE PAIN! Perhaps this is because I live in Los Angeles? LOL - maybe the NYC or San Fran sessions are much more intellectual, creative and meaningful? But I digress - this book has NOTHING to do with EST and NOTHING to do with LANDMARK EDUCATION nor THE FORUM - nothing at all.Yes, spend your $10 and buy and READ and think through this book.
